More Progress, Less Process

As a tech company, Credit Karma recognized our ability to streamline the incredible difficulty Americans face when practicing their right to vote. In the months leading up to the 2020 election, we launched a product experience that helped our members check their registration status, register to vote, request an absentee ballot or make an in-person voting plan.

Our campaign centered around the idea of ease. Voting should be so easy, you can do it in your pajamas. In the end, we made a big impact using only organic mediums like Instagram and our existing email audience. More than 2 million people checked their status, 440k registered to vote and 500k made a voting plan, including 100k absentee ballot requests.

As an aside, “red, white and due” is one of my favorite headlines I’ve ever written. I know the formatting on that carousel is bad. I’m just a copywriter.

This is just a small sample of the huge amount of work we made in just a few weeks. So many incredible creatives volunteered for this project, I truly cannot credit everyone. But I know my CD Michael Enriquez worked tirelessly to implement this, so I hope he gets at least 15 clicks from that hyperlink.
